Initial Consultation (90 Minutes)
The initial consultation provides a thorough exploration of the challenges you would like to address and the changes you hope to achieve. Together, we will discuss how your difficulties affect your daily life, identify clear goals for therapy, and establish practical ways to measure progress.
Drawing on psychology, neuroscience, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I will help you develop a deeper understanding of your experiences and identify factors that may be maintaining the problem. We will also explore potential obstacles to change and create a personalised plan to support your progress.
During this session, you will receive a comprehensive introduction to hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Through practical exercises, you will discover how imagination, attention, and suggestion can be used to support positive change. You will experience hypnosis firsthand and learn a simple self-hypnosis method that you can continue practising between sessions.
Many clients find this initial consultation valuable in its own right, as it provides clarity, direction, and practical tools that can be applied immediately.
Ongoing Hypnotherapy Sessions (4 x 60 Minutes)
Each session is tailored to your individual needs and goals. Depending on the issue you are working on, sessions may focus on areas such as managing anxiety, building confidence, overcoming fears, changing unwanted habits, improving emotional wellbeing, developing self-compassion, or strengthening motivation and resilience.
I integrate hypnotherapy with evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), creating a flexible and personalised approach to change.
Each session begins with a review of your progress and an opportunity to refine goals as needed. During hypnosis, you will be guided through carefully designed experiences using imagery, metaphor, and therapeutic suggestions that support your desired outcomes.
Support Between Sessions
A key part of my approach is helping you develop skills that you can continue using independently. Throughout our work together, you will learn self-hypnosis and practical psychological techniques that can be used outside of sessions to reinforce your progress.
Following each appointment, you will receive a summary email containing key points from the session, relevant resources, and instructions for any techniques we have covered. This allows you to continue building on the work we do together and supports lasting, sustainable change.
